District One is a residential community in MBR City (Mohammed Bin Rashid City). It is an AED 35 billion project launched in 2014 by the collaboration of Meydan Sobha and District One Developers. Other companies involved in the project were AE7 as Architectural Consultant, MS Construction and Wade Adams as Building Contractors, and Turner International Middle East as Project Manager. At the end of 2017, the first villas in District One were finished, and the rest of the development was completed in 2019. The development consists of 7 sub-communities with an area of 501 hectares (1,240 acres). 65% of the community’s area is devoted to green spaces, which means 26 million sq. ft. of open and green spaces for parks and lagoons. District One offers a unique living experience, as 7km of man-made waterbody encircles the area, created with a patent technology that keeps the water looking crystal blue.

District One is located in MBR City. Situated close to the Business Bay, the development is home to thousands of professionals and families who work in the Business Bay District. The area is well connected to the rest of Dubai with E44 Al Khail Road and the D69 Al Maydan Road, which pass by the district.
